Survey Reveal Interesting Facts about Facebook UsersSeptember 20, 2007 on 12:35 pm | In Facebook News |It seems that most people are willing to give up their privacy privileges in exchange for opportunities concerning dating and building intimate relationships. This can very well explain one of the conclusions arrived at by a study conducted by Pace University in August. The results were released this September and reveal significant matters about online users of social networking websites. The said University surveyed the users of Facebook.com and a similar site, MySpace regarding some privacy protection issues. Most of the Facebook.com registered users are interested to explore possible relationships online even if it means disclosing their private information. The faith that these users have in this specific website to secure the private data entered therein is quite low, a little more than 5% among those surveyed. At least 85% are more than happy to share their uploaded photos with someone else while an impressive 91% are not afraid to post their personal email address. Based on the answers to the survey questionnaires, another presumption can be deduced. At least 44% stated that they have met someone online, which implies that an individual is confident enough to take care of oneself without much reliance on the privacy features of Facebook.com.
